Die neue Stofflichkeit (The new Materiality) is an art book dealing with the bodies, materiality and technique of Peter Paul Rubens' paintings. Curated texts, interviews and contributions illuminate different aspects of the paintings as well as the artist and his life. The texts are supplemented by a selection of paintings, which are supposed to illustrate the treated topics.
